A Sydney Disc Golf Club Social Event
Our August social day saw 23 competitors plus another 10 new players who just wanted to throw and not worry about the score. Conditions were cool and gusty – winds were howling one minute and calm the next!
We started the day off with 18 holes on the white layout. Mario Tolberg, fresh off becoming an MPO player, took the honours with an impressive 9 under 45. Tied in 2 second 2 shots behind were John Soden and Tom Beanland.
In the handicap league, Patrick Tjitrostanto shot 128 points higher than his handicap rating to take the win by 6 shots over John Soden and Che Taylor.

Following the round, we held a putting competition. Most of the favourites missed a 6 metre putt to be eliminated in the first round and after 2 rounds we were left with only 3. Ben Wynn nailed a tricky outside circle putt to take the win and take home a new disc.
After the prizes were awarded, 13 players took to the yellow course for a doubles round.
