Getting Here
There are numerous ways you can get to the Armory. If you are going to use public transport, we recommend using the Transport NSW Trip Planner.
The 525 (Parramatta-Strathfield) and 526 (Burwood-Rhodes) bus services have stops on Holker Street with a short 5-minute walk to the gate on Jamieson Street.
Ferries operate between Circular Quay and Parramatta with a stop at Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. It’s about a 1.5 km walk from the ferry wharf to the Armory Visitor Centre.
The nearest train station is at Sydney Olympic Park. It is then approximately a 2 km walk to the Armory or you can catch a 525/526 bus from the station to Holker Street.
Alternatively, you can get the train to Rhodes, Parramatta, Burwood or Strathfield and then catch a 525 or 526 bus to Holker Street.

Here are some of the typical questions we receive.
When Is The Course Open?
The Armory is open from sunrise to 5pm, 7 days a week. Gates are locked outside these times and the ranger will do a patrol of the Armory before 5pm to ensure people leave before the gates are locked.
Can I Hire Discs?
Discs are available to hire from Sydney Disc Golf Club. Contact us through this web site to arrange You will need to pay a security deposit that is refundable upon return of the discs.
Do I Need To Make a Booking to Play?
No, you don't need to make a booking. If you have your own discs, just turn up and play. If you don't have discs, you can hire them from the Club.
Is Somebody From the Club There Each Day?
No. The Club is run by a small group of volunteers and we are usually at the Armory on weekends only. Check the web site for event dates or message us if you want to meet up.
How Much Does It Cost to Play?
Entry to The Armory is free and it is free to play. Just turn up and throw.
Where Can I Buy Discs?
Discs can be purchased from Sydney Disc Golf Club through this web site and orders picked up at social day events, tournaments or by appointment. Just message us and arrange a time to meet us to view and purchase discs.
How many holes does the course have?
The Armory has 18 baskets with 3 different tee layouts (white, red and yellow) to accommodate different skill levels.
What facilities are available?
There are a number of public toilets and drinking water available at a limited number of taps. Food and drink can be purchased from the Armory Wharf Cafe and Blaxland Riverside Park Kiosk, approximately 500 metres from the course.
Why Are There No Tee Signs?
The Armory is a heritage-listed site and there are strict rules on signage. Yes, we wish we could add tee signs, btu we can't.
What Do I Do If Somebody is In The Way?
The Armory is a public park open to all. It is used by cyclists, walkers, tourists, picniccers, nature watchers and people enjoying a day out. If somebody is in the way, wait for them to move or skip the hole. Don't throw if there is a risk of hitting anybody.
I'm Looking For Someone to Play With
Maybe your new to the area or never played disc golf before. We recommend joining the Sydney Disc Golf Club group on Facebook and post a message to introduce yourself and ask if anybody is playing when you plan to visit.
