The Final Fling presented by Disc Connection

Sydney Disc Golf Club is proud to announce The Final Fling presented by Disc Connection.

WHEN: Saturday 22nd February 2024 (8:30am to 4:30pm)

WHERE: Newington Armory

WHO: Open to all level of players (15 divisions available, 50 players max.)

WHAT: 2 rounds of 18 holes on championship level layout

Tier: PDGA C-tier, ADG non-tour event

Tournament Director: Mat Wallis

Due to increasing costs and other difficulties, this is likely to be the final tournament at the Newington Armory, unless there are changes to the way Sydney Olympic Park Authority manage the venue. So come and join us for what might be a final fling.

 

ENTRY FEES

  • Pros: $80
  • Amateurs: $55
  • Juniors <15: $45

Payment can be made by credit card (merchant fees apply) or by direct deposit (no fees). If paying by direct deposit, registration only finalised after payment received.

PRIZES

Trophies will be awarded to the top player in each division with 3 or more players registered as of 12-February (10 days prior to the event).

Pro purse will be 100% of entry fees less player share of PDGA sanctioning fee, ADG event-based fee, site hire fee and trophy costs. Payout to top 33% of field in each division (rounded to nearest number). Payment will be made by direct deposit to prize winners within 48 hours of completion of the event.

Amateur payout will be to top 33% (rounded to nearest number) based on registrations in each division as of 12-February (10 days prior to the event). Amateur prize winners will receive gift vouchers redeemable online at Disc Connection.

NOTE: there will be no ace pot for this event.

 

PARKING

Sydney Olympic Park Authority have advised us that from 1-February-2025 they will be introducing parking meters at the Armory and Blaxland Riverside Park. The first 2 hours will be free and then $5 per subsequent hour. For free all day parking we recommend the Woolworths car park in Newington which is about an 800 metre walk from the Armory gates. We will try and run a shuttle service from this car park to the Armory on the day.

 

SCHEDULE (Saturday 22-Feb)

Note: tees will be marked a few days before play and all baskets will be in position by Friday morning.
6:00 – Armory open for practice (gates open at sunrise)
8:30 – Registration table opens (please ensure you check in before players meeting)
8:45 – Mandatory players meeting at Event HQ (building 212)
9:10 – Round 1 commences
12:00 – Approximate finish of Round 1 (BYO lunch).
13:00 – Players meeting at Event HQ and announcement of cards
13:20 – Round 2 commences (cards by division and score)
15:45 – Approximate finish of Round 2
16:00 – Awards presentation
16:30 – Planned conclusion

WITHDRAWLS & REFUNDS

100% up to 12-February. 50% from 13-Feb to 19-Feb. No refunds after registrations close at 5pm on 19-Feb.
