8-Up on Juan presented by Disc Golf Warehouse (a SDGC Pop-up Event)

Sydney Disc Golf Club is proud to announce the 2024 edition of Up on Juan presented by Disc Golf Warehouse

All level of players are welcome, so come join us for 20 holes on the Upjohn Park 10-basket tournament layout. Please note that since this is a 10-hole layout, we will be limiting the number of players to 50 (i.e., 5 players per group). Note, this is an ADG league event and not a PDGA sanctioned event (so no PDGA ratings).

The event is sponsored by Disc Golf Warehouse with prizes for the winner of each division, CTP plus a prize for best female player. There will also be some runner-up prizes thanks to Disc Connection.

WHEN: Saturday 6th April 2024 (10:00am to 2:00pm)

WHERE: Upjohn Park, Rydalmere

WHO: Open to all level of players (3 divisions available)

WHAT: 1 round of 20 holes

Tier: Pop-up league

Entry Fee: $15

All entry fees include a $2 ace pot with the entire pot going to the first person to hit an ace during competitive play. If there is no ace on the day, a skill event will be held at the end of the round to determine the prize winner.

Payment can be made by credit card (merchant fees apply) or by direct deposit (no fees). If paying by direct deposit, registration only finalised after payment received.

DIVISIONS

For simplicity there will be 3 divisions you can register in, based on your PDGA rating. If you don’t have a PDGA rating, we will consider your Metrix rating or your Sydney Disc Golf Club handicap rating. Prior to the event, the TD will review all player registrations and we may move the goal posts slightly so we get 3 similar sized divisions (15-17 players each).

Advanced (ADV) – 890 and above
Intermediate (INT) – 820 to 889
Recreational (REC) – 819 and below

SCHEDULE (Saturday 6th April)
Note: tees and basket positions will be marked a few days prior. Course setup will occur on the morning of the event.
8:00 – Course setup begins
9:45 – Check-in (at tables near car park)
10:00 – Players meeting and announcement of cards
10:30 – Round commences
13:30 – Approximate finish of play
13:45 – Award presentation
14:00 – Packup

WITHDRAWLS AND REFUNDS:

To withdraw from the event, please email contact@sydneydiscgolf.com . No refunds for withdrawals after 5pm Thursday 4th April. Withdrawals prior to this time will receive a $10 refund if your spot is filled by a person on the waitlist.
